About the Grimscote Manor Hotel in Coleshill

The Grimscote Manor Hotel is conveniently located just off the Lichfield Road in Coleshill.

We are set in 4 acres of lovely Warwickshire countryside comprising of landscaped gardens, picturesque woodlands and a Victorian Oriental Bandstand which overlooks the illuminated waterfall and the Stenhouse Bridge. We are a small but close knit team here at Grimscote Manor. Every member of our team are trained in all departments in the hotel. Our guests are very important to us, and its our priority that everyone leaves Grimscote Manor happy, contented and wanting to return to us.

Meet the team:

One of our two trainee managers currently attending UCB studying part time hotel management degree in her 3rd year. Georgina Works in every department of the hotel but her strengths are reception, restaurant and bar areas. Georgina’s project for the year is to organise our annual wedding fayre.

Started within our small team in June 2013, firstly on a casual basis but now full time as our 2nd trainee manager, she is also just about to start her 1st year on a degree course at UCB. Samantha also works in every department of the hotel her strengths are in reception and restaurant. Samantha’s project of the year is to organise the charity ball.

Joanne joined our small team in September 2013, she has been a great asset to our team on the house keeping department. Since joining us our percentage has increased even more on and tripadvisor.

Joined our small team also in September 2013. Lisa works the early bird shift and cooks the breakfasts excellently 5 days a week. She also keeps our kitchens spotless, shiny and clean.

All of our small team are valuable, they all bring a lot to the table in skills, personality and dedication which enables us to keep our standards and quality high.

Thank you to them all!

Joined our small team in September 2013, and another mother and daughter team that work excellently together. Alice not only works in housekeeping but is also in training on front of house covering reception, restaurant and bar areas. She has just started a level 2 course at UCB.

Harriet joined us in October 2013 and works a couple of evenings a week in the restaurant, bar and reception.

Beth is the newest member of our team and is another of Joanne's daughters. Beth started off in the housekeeping side of the hotel, but has now progressed to the restaurant team where she has proven herself to be a huge asset.

Matthew - Trainee Gardener

Matt joined us in 2011 on an apprenticeship. He’s a quiet person but with a great sense of humour and loyalty. He travelled 2 hours a day for his first year on public transport to get to work, and was never late or missed a day off work! Thankfully Matt has passed his driving test! Matt started from scratch with our kitchen garden, where he grows most of our salad and vegetables in season, and helps keeping the chickens.

Anne - Laundry

Anne has worked at Grimscote Manor for many years; she is the hidden angel, that no one sees. Anne produces beautifully ironed bedding and table linen - no crease escapes her. Anne also works on all our weddings in the background and is our back up on the bedrooms to cover holidays and sickness. Anne again as all our small young team is very loyal, and never lets us down or our guests.

Dee is our relief goddess, she covers the laundry, restaurant and function kitchens for the marquee.

Pete has recently joined us as our new Trainee Gardner and the results of his labours were visible almost instantly. Pete’s main responsibilities including the upkeep of our gardens, as well as coming up with new ideas on how to improve our grounds.
