Christmas is such a special time for all of us here at Grimscote Manor and although we can’t celebrate the way we would like to this year we still decided to dress up the hotel with our many fabulous Christmas trees, each one having its own colour scheme to match the room it’s in.
As soon as you walk through the front door you are welcomed by the sight of one of the Christmas garlands, which is attached to the staircase decorated beautifully in red and gold. On your left you then have Gillian’s lounge which is definitely a favourite of mine, the 8ft tree is decorated top to toe in a mixture of red decorations with a few speckles of gold peeking through, the tree is surrounded with presents giving it a lovely homely feel. Not to forget the fireplace which is dressed in a garland decorated in red to match the tree, adding to the cosy Christmas atmosphere of the room. The lounge is perfect for a spot of light lunch or maybe a cup of tea and a catch up with friends.
We then have our Guild suite which has a show stopper of a tree in the window, decorated with a stunning selection of gold ornaments, this room has been the setting of many Christmas lunches between family and friends and we can’t wait to celebrate many more in in the future. Carrying on towards reception we then have the quirky upside-down tree, adding a little bit of Christmas fun for all those in the hotel. In the George Lewis suite, we have the blue Christmas tree, decorated in a variety of blue and silver bubbles, flowers and peacock feathers. Usually, the breakfast room throughout the year by Christmas time our George Lewis suite tends to remain laid for the larger Christmas family meals sitting between 15 to 50 guests.
We then have our Waldron suite Christmas tree which is enough to take anyone’s breath away, decorated in a mixture of gold, dark blue and light blue peacock themed decorations. The Waldron is usually our busiest room over the Christmas season, being the setting of the Christmas afternoon tea, wreath making workshop, breakfast with Santa and of course many Christmas lunches. This tree has been the background for many Christmas selfies and family photos.
We would also like to welcome a brand new Christmas tree situated in our new Orangery, accessorized beautifully in purples and blues and of course, peacock feathers all of which reflect the colours and decorations around the room.
Although Christmas is looking a little different this year we would love to reminisce with you all on past Christmases here at Grimscote Manor and see all your wonderful photos with your favourite tree here at the hotel.
